The Nochendi Hotel opened in the city of Cangas de Onís, Asturias in the Spring of 2003. The hotel forms part of a modern building in the town centre just a few metres from the where the Rivers Güeña and Sella meet. This confluence is shown in medieval records as a reference point to mark the location of the historic city of Cangas de Onís. The Santa Cruz Chapel (la Capilla de la Santa Cruz) (dolmen) also forms part of the area’s heritage which surrounds The Nochendi Hotel. The Contranquil meadow, the Los Azules oakwood and the Sueve mountain range can be seen from the hotel’s rooms, most of which also overlook the river.
